To be a member at Capital City Church, nine core beliefs are upheld:
The 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament are authoritative and inerrant.
The one true eternal God expresses Himself as a Tri-Unity (or Trinity) of three co-equal individuals, each with a distinct role.
The God of the Old and New Testaments is the only God. He is not the god being worshiped by other religions. i.e., Muslims, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc.
Born of a virgin, Christ was simultaneously truly God and truly man.
Humanity is spiritually lost at birth. They are completely alienated from God and entirely unable to save themselves from God’s coming wrath on sinners.
Christ’s death is a substitutionary atonement for man’s sinful state, and Christ is the only way to God the Father.
Christ’s death was followed by His subsequent bodily resurrection.
Salvation from God’s coming wrath is by grace, through faith in Christ alone.
